![]() To Everything - a SeasonEcclesiastes 3:1 - 4 (it refers to times, which are seasons). It reads.."To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up (harvest) that which is planted..." There are keys to understanding the seasons in our lives. The first key to our seasons in life is to recognize that there are God ordained times for everything. Every thing. Then to take advantage of all that God has for us in our seasons we must use the second key by asking Him for his direction and guidance. Ask Him what we are to do and then do as He says. We can depend on His timing and His desire to help us. We can depend on God’s Word as truth. We are told in Genesis 8:22 "While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest (seasons) and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease." Each season has the sign of its coming or passing as Jesus said,"When the fig tree puts forth its leaves we know summer is on its way." When harvesting is over summer is ended. Each season has its preparations and requirements in order to move through it in the best manner possible. If we have gotten ahead of a season in our life or missed a season we can ask for forgiveness and ask Jesus to help us to recover and redeem whatever is possible. By wrong choices we run the risk of not being able to capture all that we were meant to acquire or accomplish. We may have brought hurt to others or caused damage to our lives that cannot be reversed. Forgiveness can go a long way toward making redemption and recovery possible. It is never too late to say I am sorry. It is never too late to ask for forgiveness or to give forgiveness. Going forward may require letting go of what was that cannot be. It may not be possible to get back what was lost but it is possible to heal and have closure. Be sure that when we operate as we ought within our seasons, things are set up to work with us. There are different times and different seasons where we may find favor is greater than at others, opportunities appear, people that are to assist us are in place, finances are provided. The third key of right choices and timing is essential to make sure we move through our seasons taking advantage of all that God has provided for us. If you find yourself in a place of regret do not try to force others to give up what they have so you can have what you want. Your season may have passed. Accept it and let it go. The last key is get on with the good things that God has for you. Do not hang on to what is gone or cannot be. It will block the future of the new season to come. Grab that new season. God has prepared it just for you. Then use the second key. Ask Him for his guidance and direction. Then use the third key; make right choices. Get into your season! May you be blessed in all of the seasons of your life.
